Privacy

GamePrimer is a static website. It has no accounts, no logins and no comment system, and it does not ask you for personal information.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies of its own and does not use browser storage to track you across visits.

Analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics to see which pages get read and where readers arrive from. It is aggregate-only and deliberately limited: it sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser, and does not follow you to other websites. Visitors are counted using a hash derived from the incoming request rather than an identifier stored on your device, and that hash is discarded after 24 hours, so return visits are not linked over time. Vercel states that the data is not tied to or associated with any individual or IP address.

What a page view records:

  • the page URL, the referring URL, and query parameters
  • approximate location (country, region, city) derived from the request
  • device type, operating system and browser, with versions
  • a timestamp

Because this site has no accounts, no forms and no user-specific URLs, none of the above identifies you.

Advertising

There is currently no advertising on this site. If that changes, this page will be updated before the first ad goes live, and it will say what is collected and by whom.

Hosting

The site is served by Vercel, which processes standard server request data (such as IP address and user agent) in order to deliver pages and protect the service. That processing is governed by Vercel's own privacy policy.

Embedded content

Some pages may embed video from YouTube. Until you press play, the embed loads only a thumbnail — but that thumbnail is fetched from YouTube's image servers, so YouTube does receive a request when the page loads. The player itself, and the tracking that comes with it, load only after you click. Links to stores such as Steam are ordinary outbound links, and those sites' policies apply once you follow them.
