Falling-sand factory automation where every pixel is a resource

Sandustry simulates terrain pixel by pixel, and every one of those pixels is a resource you can dig, move, filter and feed into a production line. It entered Early Access on 13 August 2026.

The official wiki is the place to look up what a building does. This section is for the questions that come after that: what to research first, why your filter jammed, and how much gold a pile of sand is actually worth.

Everything here is checked against official sources — the wiki, the developers’ pinned Steam posts, and the store listings — and dated so you can see how fresh it is. Because the game is in Early Access, mechanics and numbers move between patches.

GamePrimer is an independent fan resource and is not affiliated with Lantto Games or Hooded Horse. Sandustry and related trademarks belong to their respective owners.
