Sandustry Blueprint Library
All 25 designs in the community vault, grouped by the part of the chain they solve. Twelve were published before the simulation was rewritten.

The community vault holds twenty-five designs by ten different people, grouped below by the part of the chain each one solves. The thing to check before you paste one: twelve of the twenty-five went up before Early Access, and the developer rewrote the whole simulation between the demo and launch.
A week ago there was nothing to link to. On 18 August the vault was still empty and the only shared designs were two logic circuits on the subreddit. That has changed quickly, and this page is the vault as of 23 August 2026.
The vault is not quite everything: designs also get posted straight to the subreddit and never submitted, which is where those two logic circuits still live — blueprints links both. What follows is the vault, which is the only place the designs are collected rather than scattered.
Every design here is somebody’s work, and the table credits each one. To get a design, use the vault — the strings live there, and pasting one back into your game is covered in blueprints.
The twelve published before Early Access
This is the part worth knowing before anything else.
The Sandustry demo is a February 2025 build. The developer stopped patching it, then rewrote the simulation underneath the game for Early Access — what changed between the two covers that in full. A blueprint published before 13 August 2026 went up while that older engine was the only one there was.
That is a fact about when it was published, not a verdict on whether it works. We have no way to test them, so this page does not claim any of them are broken. What it does is show you the date so the decision is yours: paste one cell and watch it before you stamp down twenty.
The older designs are also the most-copied ones: they hold seven of the top ten, and their median is 476 copies against 253 for the ones published after launch. They have simply had longer to accumulate copies — which is exactly why a copy count is not a recommendation.

Copy counts and sizes are a snapshot taken on 23 August 2026 and move constantly; they are here for a sense of scale and of what other people reached for, not as a live figure.
How to read the sizes
The character count is the closest thing to a size in tiles, and the spread is enormous — from a 283-character single-cell steam engine to a 311,200-character megafactory.
That spread matters more than it looks. A design under about 1,000 characters is a component: you will paste it several times and wire the copies together yourself. Anything past about 20,000 is a layout decision — it comes with its own arrangement, its own spacing, and its own assumptions about where your water and power come from, and it will not fit into a factory you have already laid out.
If you are pasting your first one, take a small one. The factory layout page covers why a design that works in isolation still jams when you drop it into a running line.
Who is publishing
Ten people, and the distribution is lopsided: eleven of the twenty-five are by TrimBarktree, who also runs the vault. PicaPinguin has five, Kaelie two, and seven others have one each.
That is worth knowing when you read a copy count. A vault run by its most prolific contributor is not a neutral ranking of the community’s best work — it is a snapshot of what one very active builder made, plus what happened to get submitted alongside it. Nothing improper about that; it just is not a leaderboard.
Submissions to the vault are reviewed before they appear, which is why the subreddit sometimes has designs the vault does not.
Where this comes from, and what is not here
Every design listed above was built by the person credited beside it, and this page is a catalogue of SandustryVault’s SandPrints rather than a copy of it. What you see here is factual — titles, authors, dates, the vault’s own tags and counts — plus our own grouping and the provenance column. If you are the author of one of these and would rather you were not listed, tell us and the entry comes down.
The strings themselves are not here. They are the designs, and they belong to the people who made them, so getting one means going to the vault. Individual designs have no address of their own there — the vault opens them in a panel without changing the URL — which is why the rows above link to the vault as a whole rather than to each design.
Nothing here is verified. We cannot test a blueprint, so nothing on this page is a recommendation. What it gives you is the vault in one place, what each design is for, and the one piece of provenance the vault does not surface — which side of the rewrite it went up on.
And note what that date is: it is when a design was published, not when it was built. Somebody can finish a design in the demo and upload it a week after launch. The column tells you the one thing the source records.
