Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy released August 27, 2026 at 16:00 UTC worldwide on PC (Steam and Epic), PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. It launched day one on Game Pass. There is no PS4, Xbox One or Nintendo Switch version.

Release date and global unlock time

The launch used one global moment rather than a midnight-by-region rollout:

Zone Local unlock
UTC August 27 · 4:00 PM
Pacific August 27 · 9:00 AM PDT
Eastern August 27 · 12:00 PM EDT
United Kingdom August 27 · 5:00 PM BST
Central Europe August 27 · 6:00 PM CEST

Those times are now historical—the game is live on every announced platform.

Platforms

  • PC: Steam and Epic Games Store
  • PlayStation: PS5 only
  • Xbox: Xbox Series X|S, with Xbox Play Anywhere
  • Subscription: Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass at launch

Resonance was built for current-generation hardware. Focus has not announced PS4, Xbox One or Switch ports. A store page or reseller label is not evidence of a port unless Focus or the platform holder announces it.

PC — United States $49.99
PS5 / Xbox — United States $59.99
Steam — euro region €49.99

Storefront currency, tax and temporary discounts can change the checkout total. The Steam page is the live source for PC pricing.

Game Pass and Play Anywhere

Day one on Game Pass means two plans. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate includes the console and PC versions plus cloud play; PC Game Pass includes the Windows version. The two cheaper plans do not: Xbox lists Essential as excluding day-one releases, and Premium only adds new Xbox-published games within a year of launch—Resonance is a Focus title, so it is not in that pipeline either. The Xbox store page says it plainly: cloud play is included with Ultimate, and Essential or Premium subscribers must buy the game to stream it.

Xbox Play Anywhere lets a digital Xbox purchase work across Xbox console and Windows with supported save continuity.

If you are comparing a subscription with buying outright, read the review roundup and the 12–20 hour playtime range together.

Pre-order bonus and physical edition

Pre-orders included the Heritage Pack: a Minoan Sword skin, Alec’s Pendant and a digital artbook. The bonus is now sold separately on Steam. Standard console copies have physical releases; the separate Collector’s Box is memorabilia only and does not contain the game. See the full Collector’s Box breakdown before buying one.

Languages and voice-over

Steam’s listing has seventeen languages, and only five of them are dubbed. The rest get interface and subtitles with the original voice tracks.

Support Languages
Full voice-over, interface and subtitles English, French, German, Spanish (Spain), Simplified Chinese
Interface and subtitles only Italian, Spanish (Latin America), Portuguese (Brazil), Russian, Ukrainian, Polish, Czech, Turkish, Arabic, Japanese, Korean, Traditional Chinese

Japanese, Russian and Brazilian Portuguese players therefore hear one of the five dubs with subtitles in their own language.
