As of August 29, 2026, no numbered post-launch PC patch with a public, game-specific changelog was available in the official update history we checked. The live build should therefore be treated as the launch version; black-screen, crash and stutter workarounds remain provisional.

This page does not invent a version number from an executable, console package or storefront timestamp. A version becomes part of the tracker only when Focus or Asobo publishes it with notes that players can independently read.
Launch issues being watched
- Black screen or stalled transition after the opening logos
- Crash to desktop / failure to launch on some PC configurations
- Shader and traversal stutter
- Flicker or instability associated with particular Nvidia driver branches
- Steam Deck freezes or crashes in isolated heavy scenes
- Chapter 11 movable weight failing to spawn
These are not all confirmed engine defects. Some are community-reported symptoms with multiple possible causes. Use the safe troubleshooting order for PC problems and the puzzle page for the missing-weight recovery.
How this tracker will change
For every official patch, this page will record:
- Version identifier exactly as published
- Platform and release date
- Official changelog link
- Which known issues are explicitly fixed
- Which GamePrimer guides require re-verification
The system requirements page will change only if the official hardware target or Deck status changes. A performance improvement does not automatically rewrite the minimum GPU.
Before applying an old workaround
Check this page first. Once a patch fixes the root issue, aggressive workarounds—driver rollbacks, settings resets or launch flags—may be unnecessary or counterproductive. Prefer an official fix over a launch-day workaround when both are available.

Are community fixes official patches?
No. They remain separately labelled troubleshooting steps until the developer ships and documents a change.
