Both tiers require a four-core/eight-thread CPU and a GPU supporting DirectX 12.1 plus Shader Model 6.6. The target figures are native-preset descriptions; Steam does not say upscaling or frame generation is required to reach them.

Can a GTX 1650 run it?

A desktop GTX 1650 normally has 4 GB of VRAM and sits below the listed GTX 1060 6 GB minimum. It may launch at reduced settings and resolution, but it is outside the configuration Asobo promises for 1080p/30 Low. Treat any positive report as machine-specific, not a new minimum.

For borderline hardware:

1. Install to an SSD, not a hard drive.
2. Start at 1080p Low with motion blur reduced.
3. Cap to 30 fps before judging frame pacing.
4. Watch VRAM use; texture quality is the first setting to reduce on a 4 GB card.

CPU questions are simpler. An i7-11700K clears the requirement comfortably: the floor is a four-core, eight-thread i3-12100 and the recommended tier is a six-core i5-12400F, so on that kind of system the GPU decides the preset, not the processor.

If the game will not reach the menu, use the launch-fix checklist before assuming the GPU alone is responsible.

Does Resonance use Denuvo?

The Steam store lists its standard Steam DRM/EULA context and does not list Denuvo Anti-Tamper. Launch trackers likewise report no Denuvo. That is a purchasing and performance fact only; this site does not provide or link to unauthorized copies.

Steam Deck performance

Valve rates Resonance Verified on Steam Deck. Its compatibility report passes all four checks: the default controller layout is fully functional, the on-screen button glyphs match the Deck, interface text is legible, and the default graphics settings perform well. The only other note is that external controllers aren’t supported for the primary player.

Correction: this page used to say Playable, which was Valve’s rating when we checked on August 29. The report flagged small interface text back then. That warning is gone now.

CommunityLaunch-week player reports still mention shader and traversal stutters and trouble in a few heavy scenes. The only patch so far, on September 3, fixed shader precompilation on PC Game Pass and didn’t touch the Steam version the Deck runs; the updates tracker records anything newer.

Is Resonance Steam Deck Verified?

Yes. Valve rates it Verified, and every Deck test in the compatibility report passes, including interface text legibility.

Is an SSD mandatory?

Yes. Steam explicitly marks an SSD as required in both tiers.

How much free space should I keep?

The install requirement is 75 GB. Leave additional headroom for shader caches, downloads and future patch staging.

Does the game require 32 GB of RAM?

No. Both official tiers list 16 GB.
