How the stores split up

The fourteen stores do not overlap much, which is why “where do I buy X” is a real question in this game rather than a menu:

• Appliance stores — AJ Pederson & Son in the Garment District, Essentials Appliances in Lower Manhattan, Square Appliances in Hell’s Kitchen. Checkout counters, shelving, fridges, kitchen equipment, hairdresser and jewellery fittings. Sixty items are stocked by more than one of them, usually at the same price, so the nearest one wins.
• Furniture stores — IKA BOHAG in the Garment District carries the widest range in the game; LUXCONCEPT in Murray Hill carries the expensive end.
• Office supplies — Mr. Scott’s Office Supplies in Lower Manhattan: desks, workstations, phones, and the job board you hang on a wall to recruit walk-ins.
• Factory equipment — Factory Supply Depot in Lower Manhattan, for the machines the factory planner tells you to buy.
• Importers — seven of them, all on the water: Lower Manhattan, Murray Hill and the Garment District. This is where products to sell come from, each importer with its own catalogue. The wiki’s Factory page puts the split plainly: Lunar Tide for food, Maritime Freight Line for electronics and jewellery, Aquatic Bay for liquor.

What is not in the list

The list is what the community wiki recorded, and the wiki’s stock lists were written during Early Access 0.9. Two things have been added to the game since that are not in it yet:

• The Hamptons. 1.0 added a seventh neighbourhood with its own retail strip and “a few new luxury stores”, in Hovgaard’s words. None of them has a stock list on the wiki.
• Items introduced after 0.9. Desk globes and desk calendars (added with the travel and event agencies in 0.11), uniform lockers, and the concessions registers that came with cinemas all exist in the game — the announcements confirm it — but no public source records which store sells them. They are added here the moment one does.

Prices are the wiki’s recorded prices from the same period. The store that sells an item is a structural fact and has not moved; the number on the tag may have.
