All Sephiria Weapons

Sephiria has six weapon families. Five are bought from the Destiny Inscription, and the prices are far apart — the Greatsword costs a fifth of the Staff.

Six families: Sword and Shield, Greatsword, Dagger, Crossbow, Blade and Staff. You start with Sword and Shield. The other five are bought from the Destiny Inscription, and the Greatsword is far cheaper than the rest and available four tiers earlier — which is the one price fact that should change what you do first.

The six, and what each costs

TEAM HORAY’s own description is “6 distinct weapons, each with over 50 unique upgrades”, and the 1.0 announcement puts the total at over 200 upgrades across the six branches.

The unlock costs below are Communityfrom the community compendium, not from TEAM HORAY. The patch changes further down are official.

WeaponHow you get itTierSapphires
Sword and ShieldStarting weapon — you already have it
GreatswordHeavy Weapon Training22
DaggerNimble Weapon Training68
CrossbowRanged Weapon Training710
BladeSharp Weapon Training810
StaffGraceful Weapon Training910

Each unlock is a training quest with Moro rather than an instant purchase: you buy the node, then go and do the tutorial in the village.

The Greatsword is the outlier and it is not close. It sits four tiers earlier than anything else and costs a small fraction of what the late weapons do. If you are early in the Destiny Inscription and want a second way to play, it is the only one priced like an experiment.

What has actually changed since launch

This is the part other weapon pages tend to skip, and it is the part that decides whether a build you read about last week still works. Every entry below is from TEAM HORAY’s own notes:

Version Weapon Change
1.0.26 Dagger Dash Attack now chains into Special Attack: Parry and Special Attack: Fury
1.0.26 Black Iron Halberd Tier 2 upgrade effect was not being applied at all — fixed
1.0.26 Lightning Flash Special Attack: Issen now grants invincibility while sheathing
1.0.26 Superconductor Co-op now tells you when Storm Clouds are too low to use the special
1.0.23 Solis Iubar Wrong Special Attack fired at 150 MP or above — fixed
1.0.23 Minigun MP cost now applies correctly in decimals below 1
1.0.22 Breath of Ice “Dash Attack Damage +40%” was only giving 30%. Now gives 40%
1.0.21 Sword and Shield Cleave base cost cut from 20 to 15, and guard frames now start from the beginning of the Cleave animation
1.0.21 Guillotine of Bitter Cold Skill name was displayed as “Blizzard Hammer” — cosmetic fix
1.0.19 Greatsword, Dagger, Crossbow, Staff 1 new upgrade for the Greatsword; 4 each for the Dagger, Crossbow and Staff

The Breath of Ice entry is worth reading twice: for the first day of 1.0 that upgrade was quietly delivering three-quarters of what its own text promised. If you tested a build against it before 1 August, you tested it against a weaker weapon than the one you have now.

The upgrade trees

Every documented Tier 2 and Tier 3 upgrade for all six weapons — 50 branches and 101 upgrades — is in the Weapon Upgrade Explorer, arranged as the tree it actually is rather than a flat list, with a badge on every upgrade an official patch has changed.
